#PBSUpdate: 200% Performance Increase & New Elements

Only a few weeks ago, we released PBS Version 4.1. This update included tweaks on the formatting bar and some text formatting updates, among others. For Version 2.0 though, while we made additional features, we decided to focus more on PBS’ overall performance. 200% Performance Increase & A Little Help from CodeInWP What prompted this change was an article about page builder expectations from CodeInWP. It featured a short list of their favorites, reviewing them each under a specific criteria. While Page Builder Sandwich didn’t make it on the list itself, we were also briefly mentioned in the article: With Continue reading →

Parallax Scrolling: What Is It?

The parallax scrolling effect is a design technique that’s relatively new in development and web design. Over the past few years since it’s hit the scene though, it’s grown pretty popular in its own right, and with good reason, too. Parallax Scrolling Defined Parallax scrolling is a technique wherein your web page’s background image scrolls at a slower rate compared to the foreground image. It gives the user a unique sense of depth and action while scrolling through a page when used on a website. Without Parallax Scrolling The elements of the web page – the text, images, buttons, etc Continue reading →

Mobile Responsiveness in PBS Version 4.0

In fact, if you haven’t heard yet, Google has even started penalizing non-mobile friendly websites in April 2015. In short, mobile responsiveness is a pretty huge deal. Put more simply, if you’ve upgraded to PBS v4 and want to design or build a page, then you should Continue reading →

A Tour of Page Builder Sandwich Version 3

We’ve changed a lot things in Page Builder Sandwich version 3. If you’ve been using Page Builder Sandwich for quite some time, you’ll notice that the changes are quite drastic. There is a big difference between the version 1, version 2, and the current version. In the previous versions, everything was located in the inspector on the side. We’ve since gone through and split its components into different, more logical partitions. We have listed reasons for this upgrade in the previous blog post. Current users may find the changes cumbersome at first. Give it a few minutes of trials, and Continue reading →
